Heyde's syndrome is a syndrome of gastrointestinal bleeding from angiodysplasia in the presence of aortic stenosis. Iron deficiency anaemia and aortic stenosis are common in the elderly, but their association with angiodysplasia and bleeding is not generally recognised.
